New Doctors In Training At Parsons Heath
Dr Louise Carmichael and Dr Akila Ramachandran joined the practice on the 5th August 2009 and will be with us for the next 6 months. They will be working part time between Parsons Heath and Colchester Hospital as part of their training to be General Practitioners. Dr Faerestrand and Dr Beauchamp will be supervising their training.
Closed Afternoon
The practice will be closed on the afternoon of 15/09/2009 from 12.30 pm for training purposes. All practices in Colchester will be closed from 12.30 pm and Harmoni the out of hours service will be providing cover for urgent medical problems. Please phone 01206 864395 as usual to contact them. They will not be able to help with repeat prescriptions, give test results or make routine appointments. The Surgery will open as normal on 16/09/2009 at 8am.
Swine Flu Update
The National Pandemic Swine Flu Service is up and running.For information or to check symptoms the Swine Flu Information Line can be contacted on 0800 1 513 513 or via Internet at NHS Choices (www.nhs.uk).
This Service is only for people with high temperature and other symptoms which are likely to be caused by swine flu. This Service will assess the patient’s symptoms and if required provide an authorisation number which can be used in England to collect antivirals from a local Antiviral Collection Point.

We would like to update our records of carers (other than professional) at the Practice. If you or a relative are a carer please let us have your details and the details of the patient you care for. What do we mean when we say ‘carer’? A carer is a person who is unpaid and looks after or supports someone else who needs help with their day-to-day life.
