| Sarah Reese, Health Care Assistant at Parsons Heath had a baby boy Matthew on 22/07/2011. Sadly Matthew had Edward’s Syndrome and died when he was just 45 days old. Sarah will be returning to work in the New Year- it will be difficult for Sarah and she would be grateful if patients didn’t ask her about Matthew as she knows she will find it upsetting. All the staff at Parsons Heath Medical Practice ask, instead of the usual Christmas gifts that patients often give to mark the season, that donations be made to the SOFT charity (Support for Trisomy 13/18 http://www.soft.org.uk/") which works to support families with children with Edward’s Syndrome. You can either hand in a donation at reception or donate online at Virgin Money Giving SOFT UK (https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/donate/makeDonationForCharityDisplay.action?charityId=1000784&frequencyType=S). Dr Peter Sampson has worked in Parsons Heath since 1979. As most people know he reduced his hours in August of this year. He will be retiring fully from the practice at the end of November. He will be missed. We wish him a happy, healthy, active and interesting retirement and the place will not be the same without him. |
