Who are we?
A team of qualified nurses and support workers employed by Colchester Primary Care Trust.
Where are we based?
At your local health clinic, but spending much of our working day in schools.
What is our role?
To look after the health needs of school age children.
This includes:
Screening: Height, weight, hearing and vision soon after starting school.
Health Education Programmes
Immunisation Programmes
Health and Advice on Parenting
We work closely with schools, health professionals and most importantly parents to ensure the best health for your child

Hazelmere Infant School -drop in clinic for parents of children at the school every Tuesday at 9am
Sir Charles Lucas- drop in clinic at the school for students at the school- Tuesday lunchtime in E02
Bedwetting clinic fortnightly- after referral by school nurse, health visitor or GP.
Areas we are involved in include:Stress, Healthy Eating, Immunisations, Head Lice, Exercise, Health Education, Smoking Cessation, Behaviour Problems, Telephone Advice, Drugs, Diseases, Infections and Liaison with other services.
