Computer system upgrade

Any patients who have attended the surgery in the last week will be aware of the chaos caused by the computer upgrade. It has not gone as smoothly as we hoped. We are still finding our way but things are improving and with a bit of luck we will be back on track in the near future. Thanks for your patience and understanding. The doctors would like to thank all our staff, they have had a lot to put up with in the last week. One good thing has come out of it we have had a big clearout and it's amazing how much cupboard space we now have!
Flu Vaccination Days
Summer is almost over and flu season is coming. Flu vaccine days for those patients in at risk groups will be held on October 27th and November 10th. On October 27th the flu clinic will be held from 8am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 6pm.On 10th November the clinic will be held from 2pm to 6pm. No appointment is needed. As it will be a very busy day we ask all patients who can to park elsewhere as we will be limiting car parking at the surgery on that day to those who are disabled.
How to order a repeat prescription
1 You can order in person at the surgery.
2 You can post in your prescription.
3 You can order through our website at Parsons Heath Medical Practice Website
4 You can order through your chemist.
When you order a repeat prescription please allow 48 working hours before collection. If you want us to post the prescription back to you please supply us with a stamped self addressed envelope. The listed chemists all collect from the surgery on a regular basis. If you want your chemist to collect your prescription from the surgery please let them know - they may ask you to complete a simple form. This method may save you time as obviously if the chemist has picked up your prescription at your request from the surgery the items on the prescription will hopefully be ready for collection when you attend the chemist and this will save you time waiting for the items to be dispensed. People who order online may find this system most useful as it may save you trips to the surgery to pick up prescriptions and this obviously helps free up car park space at the surgery. Obviously you can only order repeat prescriptions if they have been authorized by your doctor. Please always use the repeat prescription counterfoil - that is the right hand side of the prescription to order rather than writing letters. Obviously we understand if you lose your request slip but it is much easier for us if the printed computer order slip is used.
